Brad Weyland practices corporate law with a focus on leveraged finance (primarily high yield bonds and high yield bridge lending) and emerging markets transactions. He has represented private equity, investment banking and corporate clients in high yield bond offerings, acquisition financings, initial public offerings and rights offers. He also advises corporate clients concerning ongoing compliance with high yield bond indentures and reporting obligations.
Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Mr. Weyland was a manager at D.E. Shaw & Co., a specialized investment firm focused on computer-based quantitative investment management.

Mr. Weyland’s recent transactions include advising:

  • A consortium of banks, including Deutsche Bank, Barclays, Credit Suisse, ING and KBC Bank NV, in the offering of €290 million Senior Secured Notes due 2022 by LSF9 Balta Issuer S.A.
  • AA Bond Co Limited in connection with its offering of £735 million Secured Notes due 2043 (the largest ever single-tranche sterling denominated high yield bond issue)
  • A consortium of banks, including Crédit Agricole CIB, J.P. Morgan and UniCredit Bank, in the offering of €450 million Senior Secured Notes due 2022 by Sappi Papier Holding GmbH
  • Owens Brockway Glass Container, Inc. in connection with its offering of US$800 million of Senior Notes due 2022 and 2025
